Hot Lap Rentals: Connecting Drivers with the Cars They Want to Drive

It started with a trip to Colorado.

Linden and I were headed to a Time Trials event and I wanted to find a prepped track car to drive in it. We searched Facebook groups, scrolled through forums, sent messages to people who may or may not still have a car available. We almost found one — but by the time a lead came together, we'd already decided to just go and be crew for the day. A whole trip built around driving, and we ended up on the other side of the wall.

That frustration is what started Hot Lap Rentals.

The problem is simple: there's no centralized place to find track car rentals.

Thousands of track-prepped cars sit in garages between events. Race teams run endurance races with empty seats they can't fill. Driving schools struggle to get in front of new customers. And on the other side, there are drivers at every level — from the person who's always wanted to try a track day to the experienced club racer looking for a seat at Sebring — who can't find what's available.

The information is out there. It's just scattered across Facebook groups, word-of-mouth networks, and random forum posts that get buried in a day.

Hot Lap Rentals is the directory for that.

We're a free directory for the grassroots motorsport community in the Southeast. Car owners list their track cars. Arrive-and-drive providers publish programs. Drivers browse and email the person who has the car. There is no account and no booking form.

No middleman fees. No commission. Owners list for free and keep 100% of what they earn. We believe that removing friction from the connection is what grows the community — not taking a cut of every transaction.

We're not building an exotic car joyride company. This isn't about putting someone in a Lamborghini for three laps with an instructor holding the wheel. A partner brings the cars, the event, and the expertise. Hot Lap Rentals brings the audience — the people actively searching for exactly this kind of opportunity.

A driver looking for a track day at Road Atlanta can open a published experience or company page, see what is listed, and email the provider. Hot Lap Rentals does not take the booking and does not collect a lead form.

Operators who already run cars can publish a page here and reach drivers who are already looking. The driver emails them and arranges the day directly.
