About the track

Barber is a compact road course set among wooded hills, landscaped banks, and outdoor sculptures. The circuit and its surroundings were designed together, which gives the venue a distinctive feel whether you are in the paddock, watching from a hillside, or visiting the museum.

The clockwise layout has more than 80 feet of elevation change. Corners arrive in linked sequences, and a flat map only tells part of the story. An onboard lap helps explain how the crests, downhill approaches, and changes of direction fit together over the 2.38 miles.

The museum’s course description lists 16 turns and describes the multi-level paddock beside the front straight. That is the configuration used here. For an event visit, bring the organizer’s map as well: paddock space and access arrangements depend on what is running.

A little history

George Barber’s collection of historic motorcycles grew into the idea of a museum where vehicles could also be demonstrated on a circuit. The park opened to the public in September 2003, bringing the museum and road course together on the same property. The Porsche Track Experience has called Barber home since the park’s opening. The official park history explains how the collection led to the racing facility.
