Most Road Atlanta weekends are run-group chess. Jzilla’s October Open Track is the other move: one Wednesday, open pit, advanced and upper-intermediate drivers only, on Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta’s 2.5-mile lap.

What’s different

This is an open pit lane day — roughly seven hours of open track with a one-hour lunch break and no run groups. Suite lounge, lunch, snacks, and drinks are part of the package. Roster spots are limited, so treat “register early” as real, not fluff. Confirm current entry details on MotorsportReg when you register.

This is not a first-timer High Performance Driver Education weekend. If you’re still building confidence in intermediate, confirm qualifications with Jzilla before you trailer up. Advanced / upper-intermediate is the bar they published.

Same week, same Braselton zip code

Mid-October at Road Atlanta is loud. Friday the 16th is Z Nationals (Nissan / Infiniti-focused, same track). Saturday–Sunday the 17–18th is Chin’s Road Atlanta weekend. Pick your days on purpose. Stacking Open Track Wednesday with another event later in the week is doable if you’re already camped in Braselton — don’t invent a plan that puts you in three places at once without looking at the organizer pages.
