Rent a Track Car at Road Atlanta | HPDE Car Rental
Braselton, GA — The Southeast's Crown Jewel
You've watched the Petit Le Mans onboards. You've gamed every turn on iRacing. Now it's time to stop spectating and start driving — and you don't even need to bring your own car.
Hot Lap Rentals connects you with track-prepped cars available for rent at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta through JZILLA Track Days. Pick your car, pick your event, and sign your rental contract right on your phone. No middlemen, no nonsense.
The Track
Road Atlanta is 2.54 miles of pure driving challenge carved into the rolling hills of North Georgia, about 45 minutes northeast of downtown Atlanta. Twelve turns. Dramatic elevation changes. Blind corners that reward commitment and punish hesitation.
The esses between turns 3 and 5 are the signature sequence — a series of high-speed direction changes where rhythm matters more than raw speed. Get the entry right and the whole section flows. Get it wrong and you're sawing at the wheel for three corners straight.
Then there's Turn 12 — the famous downhill dive where the track drops away under braking and the wall gets very close very fast. It's the corner that separates "I've been to Road Atlanta" from "I've driven Road Atlanta."
The track has been a fixture of American road racing since 1970. The Petit Le Mans, IMSA, Trans-Am, MotoAmerica — they all come here because the layout is simply that good.
Why Rent Instead of Bringing Your Own?
Real talk: preparing a street car for track duty is expensive, time-consuming, and nerve-wracking the first time. Brake fluid flush, fresh pads, remove your floor mats, tape your headlights, hope your insurance situation is sorted, and then pray nothing breaks. And that's before you've turned a single lap.
Or you could rent a car that's already set up for this exact purpose.
JZILLA Track Days runs a fleet of track-prepped cars purpose-built for HPDE and track day events at Road Atlanta. These aren't rental-counter Altimas — they're cars that live at the track, maintained by people who know what Road Atlanta does to brake pads and cooling systems.
You show up, sign the rental agreement on your phone, and drive. That's it.
What's Available
Browse the current JZILLA fleet on our vehicle listings page. Available cars rotate based on the event schedule and maintenance cycles, but the lineup is built around cars that are genuinely fun to drive on this track — not just fast in a straight line.
Every car on the platform has been configured with the details that matter for Road Atlanta: cooling capacity for those long uphill sections, brakes that won't fade after three sessions, and suspension that can handle the elevation changes without bottoming out through the esses.
How It Works
- Browse — Check out available cars and upcoming JZILLA events at Road Atlanta
- Inquire — Hit "Contact Owner" on the car you want. Tell them which event, your experience level, and anything else they should know
- Talk it out — The owner gets back to you directly. You agree on the car, the price, and the details
- Sign — The rental contract shows up on your phone. Review it, sign it, done. Takes about 2 minutes
- Drive — Show up to the event, meet the owner, do a walk-around, and go turn laps
The whole process is designed to be fast and low-friction. The contract handles the paperwork so you and the owner can focus on the actual driving.

Track Day Insurance — Read This
Here's the part nobody wants to talk about but everybody needs to hear: your regular car insurance almost certainly does not cover you on a racetrack. Most personal auto policies explicitly exclude closed-course driving.
That means if something goes wrong, you're on the hook — for the car you're renting AND for anything else you hit.
Track day insurance exists specifically for this. Providers like Hagerty, Traction Insurance, OpenTrack, and Lockton Motorsports sell event-specific policies that cover physical damage to the car you're driving. It's not cheap, but it's a fraction of what a repair bill looks like.
When you sign your rental contract through Hot Lap Rentals, you'll acknowledge that insurance is your responsibility. We strongly recommend getting covered. Read our full track day insurance guide for details.
