Spring 2026 Southeast Track Day Calendar: Every HPDE Event March-June

Spring is the best time to run a track day in the Southeast. Temperatures sit in the sweet spot between 55 and 80 degrees, grip levels are high, and every major organization is running a packed schedule before the summer heat rolls in. Whether you are looking for your first HPDE weekend or trying to lock down a full season of seat time, this calendar has you covered.
We compiled confirmed and provisional dates from Chin Track Days, NASA, SCCA, PCA, JZilla Track Days, Track Day Xperience, Precision Track Day, and other Southeast organizers. Always confirm dates and registration directly with the hosting organization before booking travel -- schedules can shift, and events do sell out.

Southeast Track Profiles
Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta -- Braselton, GA
The flagship track of the Southeast. Its 2.54-mile layout features 12 turns, dramatic elevation changes, and the iconic Turn 12 downhill plunge into a blind braking zone. If you are going to run one track this spring, this is it. Road Atlanta hosts more track days than any other circuit in the region, with events nearly every week from March through June.

Virginia International Raceway (VIR) -- Alton, VA
VIR's 3.27-mile Full Course is widely considered one of the best driver's tracks in North America. The flowing layout through Virginia's rolling hills rewards smooth inputs and good vision. Multiple configurations mean you will rarely get bored, and the on-site lodges make multi-day events easy.

Barber Motorsports Park -- Birmingham, AL
A 2.38-mile, 15-turn circuit set in a 930-acre park that also houses the world's largest motorcycle museum. Barber is technical, fast, and beautifully maintained. The track surface is among the best in the country, and the elevation changes keep things interesting from start to finish.

Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL -- Concord, NC
NASCAR's home track offers a 2.28-mile road course that combines the oval banking with an infield section. It is a unique experience and a great track for drivers who want something different. SCCA Track Night events make this an accessible option for beginners.

Sebring International Raceway -- Sebring, FL
Famous for the 12 Hours of Sebring, this 3.74-mile circuit has a rough, bumpy surface that teaches car control like nothing else. The concrete patches and varied pavement test your ability to manage grip changes. Chin Track Days runs here frequently, making it one of the most accessible Florida tracks.
Roebling Road Raceway -- Bloomingdale, GA
A 2.02-mile, 9-turn road course near Savannah. Roebling Road is fast, relatively flat, and forgiving for newer drivers. The track was completely resurfaced in 2023, so the surface is in excellent shape. It is also one of the more affordable Southeast tracks, making it a solid choice for your first event.
NOLA Motorsports Park -- Avondale, LA
A 2.75-mile, 16-turn circuit just outside New Orleans. NOLA offers open track days monthly along with NASA Gulf South events. The wide runoff areas make it a good learning track, and the mix of high-speed and technical sections keeps experienced drivers engaged.
Atlanta Motorsports Park -- Dawsonville, GA
A 2-mile, 16-turn circuit in the North Georgia mountains. AMP is one of the few tracks in the Southeast designed from the ground up for performance driving rather than converted from an oval. Significant elevation changes and a kart track on site make it worth the drive.
Carolina Motorsports Park -- Kershaw, SC
A 2.27-mile, 14-turn circuit that hosts SCCA Majors events. It is a technical track that rewards precision, and the relatively low-key atmosphere makes it a good option if you want serious seat time without the crowds.
Homestead-Miami Speedway -- Homestead, FL
The road course at Homestead offers a 2.21-mile layout used primarily in the winter and early spring months before the South Florida heat becomes oppressive. Track Day Xperience runs events here through March.
Daytona International Speedway -- Daytona Beach, FL
Running on the same track used for the Rolex 24 is a bucket-list experience. SCCA Track Night in America brings affordable evening sessions to Daytona from June through September. The 3.56-mile road course combines the high banking with an infield section.
How to Choose Your First Spring Event
If you have never done a track day before, here is how to narrow down your options:
Pick the right organization. Chin Track Days and Track Day Xperience are known for being beginner-friendly with structured run groups and available instruction. SCCA Track Night in America is specifically designed as an entry point, with short evening sessions at a lower price. NASA HPDE levels 1-3 include classroom time and instructor ride-alongs.
Start with a forgiving track. Roebling Road, NOLA, and Atlanta Motorsports Park have wide runoff areas and are less intimidating than Road Atlanta or VIR for a first-timer. That said, plenty of people do their first event at Road Atlanta -- just be ready for the learning curve.
Consider a weekday event. Midweek track days (like JZilla's Tuesday/Wednesday Road Atlanta events) typically have fewer cars on track, which means more clean laps and less traffic to manage while you are learning.
Book a 2-day event. Day one is usually about getting comfortable. Day two is when the real learning happens. Most organizations offer a per-day discount on multi-day events.
Check the weather window. March and April are the sweet spot. May gets warm, and June in the Deep South means you will be dealing with 90-degree heat and afternoon thunderstorms. Earlier is better if you have the flexibility.
What You Need to Register
Requirements vary by organization, but here is what most Southeast HPDE events require:
Your car:
- Must pass a basic tech inspection (brakes, fluids, tire condition, no loose items in the cabin)
- Some organizations require a pre-event inspection form signed by a shop; others do tech at the track
- Brake fluid should be flushed with high-temp fluid (DOT4 or racing fluid) before the event
- Remove or secure any loose items in the trunk and cabin
- Tire tread depth must meet minimums (varies by org, but worn tires will get flagged)
Your gear:
- Helmet: Snell SA2015 or SA2020 rated (most organizations will not accept M-rated motorcycle helmets). Some orgs offer helmet loaners.
- Long pants and closed-toe shoes (required by all organizations)
- Long sleeves (required by most)
- Driving gloves and a HANS device are recommended but typically not required for HPDE
Your registration:
- Register through MotorsportReg.com (used by most organizations) or the organization's own site
- Expect to pay $200-$500 per day depending on the organization and track
- Beginner groups fill up first, especially at popular tracks -- register early
- You will need to sign a liability waiver
- Most organizations require a valid driver's license
If you do not own a track car, you can rent one. Track-prepped cars with upgraded brakes, suspension, and safety equipment are available through Hot Lap Rentals at tracks across the Southeast.
